PAST SIMPLE: THE VERB TO BE

We learnt the verb to be in present simple in the unit 3. You know this is an important verb (the most importante verb in English!). The verb to be in present simple has got three different forms: AFFIRMATIVE, NEGATIVE AND INTERROGATIVE. Let's remember it!

GRAMMAR: DO/DOES IN INTERROGATIVE (3rd PERSON)

In this unit we are learning the present simple of the third person of singular.
We are learning some strange animals too. Here, you are going to read "ANTEATER". An anteater is an "OSO HORMIGUERO" in Spanish.





PRONOUNS (remembering)

I = Yo
You = Tú
He = Él
She = Ella
It = Ello (objets and animals)

We = Nosotros
You = Vosotros
They = Ellos


AFFIRMATIVE

She plays the guitar at the weekend. 
An anteater eats ants and insects.



NEGATIVE

She doesn't play the guitar at the weekend. 
An anteater doesn't eat ants or insects.


INTERROGATIVE. 

Does she play the guitar at the weekend? No, she doesn't. 
Does an anteater eat ants or insects? Yes, it does.
