GRAMMAR: DO/DOES IN INTERROGATIVE (3rd PERSON)

In this unit we are learning the present simple of the third person of singular.
We are learning some strange animals too. Here, you are going to read "ANTEATER". An anteater is an "OSO HORMIGUERO" in Spanish.





PRONOUNS (remembering)

I = Yo
You = Tú
He = Él
She = Ella
It = Ello (objets and animals)

We = Nosotros
You = Vosotros

They = Ellos


AFFIRMATIVE


She plays the guitar at the weekend. 
An anteater eats ants and insects.




NEGATIVE


She doesn't play the guitar at the weekend. 
An anteater doesn't eat ants or insects.



INTERROGATIVE. 

Does she play the guitar at the weekend? No, she doesn't. 
Does an anteater eat ants or insects?
 Yes, it does.

  2. María del Mar: La palabra IT significa ÉL o ELLA, pero siempre referida a un objeto o a un animal (por eso también se puede decir que IT significa ESO).

    Mira el ejemplo, porque esa palabra la puedes sustituir por otras:

    IT EATS INSECTS = ÉL COME INSECTOS (Esta oración se refiere a un animal, no a una persona)

    En esta misma oración, la palabra IT, la puedes sustituir por otras

    THE BEAR EATS INSECTS = EL OSO COME INSECTOS

    Puedes ver que en español ocurre lo mismo.
